Love conquers all. Right?

This summer, Inland Classical Theatre is thrilled to present “The Triumph of Love” by Pierre de Marivaux, translated by Stephan Wadsworth. Scott Doughty directs this 18th century French farce.
“The Triumph of Love” follows Princess Léonide as she disguises herself and sneaks into the house and garden of the strict philosopher Hermocrates. Her objective: to find the prince she has fallen in love with, win his love and rightfully restore him to her usurped throne. However, both prince and philosopher have sworn off love and banned women from the grounds. As Léonide weaves her web, slowly pulling all the household into her machinations, will she win her prince or will it all come crashing down around her?
Using elements of traditional commedia dell’arte mask work, and performed in the open air, “The Triumph of Love” is not to be missed.
Performances run June 12-28 in the outdoor amphitheatre at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.
