Patty DeWitt-Garegnani

Costume Designer

Patty DeWitt-Garegnani is a Spokane-based costume designer, founder of Ritual Stitch Costume Design, and holds an AFA in Theatre. Her work blends historical influence with contemporary design language, using costume as metaphor. For Mary Stuart, panniers represent restriction of power that encircles the queens while the Court men move as a single system, echoing patriarchal power. Patty is ever grateful to work with this exceptionally talented cast and to reunite with dear friends at Inland Classic Theatre, first collaborating on Romeo and Juliet during Shakespeare in the Park. Her recent work includes Reefer Madness, Ride the Cyclone, and Minister of Sorrow. She thanks her husband and two daughters for their patience, support, and love.
